How to Choose a PC Case

The most important thing is that the case fits your motherboard. After that, airflow, fan support and front ports matter most.

What to look for

• Pre-installed fans: cases like the Boost Cheetah, Fox and Lion include RGB fans, which saves the cost of buying fans separately.
• Fan support: check how many fans the case supports (many Boost cases support up to 6) if you plan to add more cooling.
• Front I/O: USB 3.0 gives faster transfers than USB 2.0. Some cases also include USB Type-C.
• Side panel: tempered glass shows off your components. Perforated panels are a budget-friendly option.
• GPU and cooler clearance: check that your graphics card and CPU cooler will fit before you buy.

Will an M-ATX motherboard fit in an ATX case?

Usually yes. Most ATX cases also support Micro-ATX boards. An ATX board will not fit in an M-ATX-only case.

Do I need extra fans?

For office PCs, the included fans are usually enough. For gaming PCs with a dedicated graphics card, more intake and exhaust fans help keep temperatures down.
